With the arrival of Spring, and the game of guessing whether the weather is warm as it looks, so has sakura blossoms.
Sakura blossoms have always been a favourite flower of mine, and along with that so are maxi dresses.
I find maxis relaxing since it saves me a bunch of time getting ready in the morning, and this one has a slit on the side that makes me happy when I twirl in the wind.
Till next time lovelies!

Like every student, I live vicariously through a routine.
It may seem mundane and tiring, but I find that once in a while you can kick it up a notch.

During a weekly class meeting, my partner and I debate on questions, and whose answer is more accurate.
The venue? The study room, or the kitchen in case one of us has the munchies.
The solution? Somewhere that is not dark, crowded with a bunch of students (meaning noisy af), close to transit, and near a food source.
And voila! Here is our solution, frozen yoghurt.

Coming from Hong Kong, frozen yoghurt became a religion.
This made Qoola a perfect fit, it was indoors, had savoury and sweet food such as quinoa salad's and fro-yo that made it a
healthy option.
Also, attempting to minimize my coffee intake made this a great substitute to a cafe.
^ To anyone got that economics joke ;)

Along with a new venue, I decided to find a happy medium between comfort and not homeless chic for this outfit.
The result? A lazy pair of pants to match with a loose wrap top, and traditional leather jacket to mimic the drab weather we've been experiencing lately.
Also I made the executive decision in transitioning out of boots.
Till next time lovelies!

Carnival Affair

On me: sweater (buy me) + skirt (buy me) via Klarra

It's been two years since the first AIA Carnival.
Hearing it's return made me excited, mainly due to the thought of roller coasters and abundance of soft toys.

Starting the day off with the sassiest duo Unknown Photography (aka Sophia Chae + Toby Ng), we brunched at The Brunch Club.
Entering a food coma state, Toby and I headed towards the carnival.
And getting ahead of myself, I tackled the most challenging ride.
Due to me not noting the name of the ride, here is my attempt at describing it to you.
It's a two sided pole where five to six people are seated on each end, and it flings you 360 degrees in the air.
Although... when the ride began flinging us in several rotations (forwards + backwards) I began realizing that I didn't think this through.
Oh well, at least the skirt didn't flash anyone.

I've always been a fan of maxi skirts, but with my short stature, I always longed for something a bit shorter.
A midi if you will.
That's what made this skirt perfect.
Its ability to work against Hong Kong's passive cold and hot weather, but withstand the movement a carnival entails.

The remainder of the day consisted of seeing a beautiful view of Hong Kong's skyline, talking of future aspirations and running to meet Keefe for a late dinner.
Till next time lovelies!

VFW FW '15 | Day One

If you successfully scrolled past all of the runway shots, congrats!
Regardless of the large quantity, these were my favourite shots of the night.

Having a class that prevented me from attending on time last year, I was pleased to arrive several minutes before the show started.
Lining up, I was excited to see familiar and new faces.
Especially We Are to The 9's!

As for my outfit, I wanted to wear something that would hold comfort for my exam, but retain enough style to pass off at fashion week.
(hence culottes)
Remember when I spoke about culottes in my last post?
Well, here they are in all glory.
Culottes as I've said, have the amazing power to be worn in any situation.
From business (casual) events, school, and to fashion week.

Watching the show I was excited to see what the week would behold, and as per usual I was not disappointed.
Especially watching our local designers such as Alex S. Yu, Connally McDougall, and of course, Grandi's Atelier.
Once the gala ended, Cassandra, Ricci, Grace and I decided to head to Warehouse for dinner, where we all munched on burgers, poutine and chicken wraps.
Till next time lovelies!
